The Texas SNOWPOCALYPSE has caused several issues this week.
We know many homeowners are going to need repairs. Some of which will require professional help while others will be able to DIY the problem.
If you are one of the lucky ones that had minor leak damage in their ceiling or walls, and were able to fix the leak quickly, you may be wondering what the next few steps are. Several things come into play and we're here to help.
Step 1:
Clean the area. Before you start any project like this give the area a good clean. Use bleach if necessary
Step 2:
Scrape any flaking in the area
Step 3:
Cover water damaged area with a sealer binder
Step 4: Add all purpose joint compound (Mud) and texture if needed

Step 5:
Lightly sand surface with 220 or 180 grit sandpaper
Step 6:
Step 7:
Ready for paint. If you have the original paint and have enough to complete touch-up, GREAT!
We Paint Match !
If not, you can get your color matched at any one of our 3 Flagship Paints locations where a staff member will gladly color match and tell you the sheen you need.
**When touching up a small area we recommend feathering the edges with a 1-1.5 inch brush.
As always, we want to provide you with the best customer service so we recommend dropping off your match to let staff work on and we'll call you as soon as it's ready.
Houston, we thank you for your support. We are a small family operated business and appreciate all the love this city has given us.
